Giovanni Corvi - Fizyr.AI's New Vision Engineer

2025 is an exciting year for Fizyr, as we're 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗯𝘆 𝟮𝘅 and accelerating the growth of our product capabilities for advanced vision in automation.

Continuing our trend of hiring the industry’s best and brightest, we’re thrilled to welcome Giovanni Corvi to the Fizyr team as a vision engineer. Giovanni joins the company after completing his master’s degree in robotics at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), where his thesis “𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝟯𝗗 𝗕𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴,” scored an extraordinary 9 out of 10 by his thesis committee.

As showcased in his thesis, Giovanni has pioneered a more elegant method for robots using Fizyr’s advanced vision AI to intelligently stack items, with little-to-no knowledge about what’s coming down the conveyor.

Giovanni initially served as robotics intern at Fizyr while also working on his thesis. Now a full-time team member, he works closely with the development and research team led by Ronald Poelman, who also served as one of Giovanni’s thesis supervisors and a member of his thesis committee.
